Hours: Public garden tours for individuals, and group tours for 10 or more, are held in spring, summer, and fall by reservation only. Tour times change seasonally. Garden tours involve a two-hour stroll through a hillside woodland gardens, occasionally on uneven ground and unpaved paths. The total distance walked is usually about one-half mile. Due to the uneven natural paths and hilly terrain, the gardens are not wheelchair accessible, and strollers are not permitted. Visitors must reserve a tour slot; strolling without a guide is prohibited.

Mt. Cuba Center, Inc., is a 650-acre non-profit horticultural institution in northern Delaware, dedicated to the study, conservation, and appreciation of plants native to the Appalachian Piedmont Region. It is located on the rolling hills of a former du Pont family estate. An extraordinary range of common and unusual wildflowers, shrubs, and trees, magnificent floral displays, attractive fruit, and seasonal foliage maximize garden pleasure. Surrounding Mt. Cuba Center's cultivated areas are nearly 600 acres of beautiful natural lands with native forests, wetlands, and open fields.
