Job Opening
Position Title: Electronic Marketing Intern
Supervisor: Chair, BMGA
Hours: 5 hours per week, flexible, plus BMGA meetings (1 hour per month)
Wage: $10/hour
Time Commitment: March - May 2010
Position Description
- Work with PR Specialist to distribute e-newsletters, e-blasts, and other electronic communications
- Research online media outlets and list BMGA events and programs
- Maintain BMGA Facebook page
- Research other social media tools and implement if approved
- Attend BMGA meetings and present report
- Research and identify web sites and blogs specific to travel writers and reporters
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A commitment to BMGA's vision and mission
- Completing coursework towards a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office, electronic marketing programs , and social media outlets

The Brandywine Museums & Gardens Alliance (BMGA), colloquially referred to as the "Brandywine 9," is responsible for maintaining and updating this website devoted to the Beautiful Brandywine Valley. The BMGA is a group composed of marketing and public relations professionals from several cultural institutions in the region of northern Delaware and southern Pennsylvania. This group meets regularly in an effort to promote the Brandywine Valley, so rich in art, culture, history, and beauty, to an audience both local and national.
